Barefoot Kitchen Orange Szechuan Asian Glaze Crispy Chicken (Fryer Method)

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ Lbs Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast – cut into 1-1 ½” pieces 
  • 1 Bottle of Barefoot Kitchen Orange Szechuan Asian Glaze
  • 1 ÂĽ Cup Tapioca Starch
  • 2 Tbl Cold Water
  • 2 Large Eggs 
  • Olive or Avocado Oil

Cooking Directions

  • Pour oil into large fryer or cast iron dutch oven, filling 1 ½-2” deep
  • Heat to 350-degrees F
  • Wisk eggs in a shallow dish until well blended
  • Pour Tapioca Starch into a separate shallow dish
  • Dip chicken pieces into egg followed by thoroughly coating in Tapioca Starch
  • Carefully place 1/3 of the chicken pieces into Preheated oil
  • Cook 5-7 Mins or until done ensuring internal temp reaches 165-degrees
  • Use Skimmer to remove chicken and place on paper towel 
  • Repeat process for rest of chicken
  • Transfer cooked chicken to either a stovetop skillet or Microwavable bowl
  • Pour a generous amount of Barefoot Kitchen Orange Szechuan Asian Glaze over chicken and heat to desired temp
  • Best served over rice
