Ingredients

  • 1 Whole Chicken (4-5 lbs), cleaned and patted dry
  • 1/2 Cup Barefoot Kitchen Blackened Spiced Cajun Sauce
  • 2 Tbl olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 Tsp paprika
  • 1 Tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tsp onion powder
  • 1 Tsp salt
  • 1/2 Tsp black pepper
  • Lemon wedges and fresh parsley for serving (optional)

Cooking Directions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F
  • Whisk Barefoot Kitchen Blackened Spiced Cajun Sauce with oil/butter and seasonings; brush over entire chicken (including under the skin where possible)
  • Bake 55-65 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F at the breast and 175 degrees F at the thigh (for crispier skin, place chicken on a rack inside the roasting pan to allow air circulation
  • Rest 10-15 minutes, then carve and serve with extra Blackened Spiced Cajun sauce on the side
